Process

How an engagement runs.

Four stages, each ending in documents you own. You always know what has been decided, what is being built and what happens next.

The method

Discovery, architecture, iterative delivery, handover.

The same four stages run on every engagement, scaled to its size. A two-week integration and a nine-month platform build follow the same method.

  1. 01

    1–3 weeks

    Discovery

We learn the business goal, the constraints and the systems involved: workshops with your stakeholders, a review of existing code and infrastructure, and an honest read of the risks.

    • Stakeholder workshops
    • System and code review
    • Risk and dependency mapping

    You receive

    • Discovery brief
    • Estimate range

    Your involvement

A product owner and a technical contact, about four hours a week.

  2. 02

    2–4 weeks

    Architecture

We compare options and write the decisions down before anything is built. The architecture dossier records context, constraints, options and trade-offs, and we review it with your team.

    • Options analysis
    • Architecture decision records
    • Security and threat modeling

    You receive

    • Architecture dossier
    • ADR log
    • Delivery plan

    Your involvement

Architecture reviews with your technical leads.

  3. 03

    Two-week iterations

    Iterative delivery

We build in two-week iterations. Each ends in a demo, a written progress report and test evidence, and we re-forecast the estimate at every phase boundary.

    • Automated testing in CI
    • Demo and written report every iteration
    • Shared decision and risk log

    You receive

    • Test plan & evidence
    • Release notes
    • Updated dossier

    Your involvement

Demos, backlog decisions and a weekly sponsor check-in.

  4. 04

    Warranty, then optional SLA

    Handover & support

We hand over code, documents and knowledge so your team can run the system without us — and, if you want, we stay on under an SLA.

    • Runbook drills with your operations team
    • Knowledge-transfer sessions
    • Warranty period after go-live

    You receive

    • Operations runbook
    • Handover pack
    • SLA & service reports

    Your involvement

Your operations team joins the runbook drills before go-live.

Documents you own

Every stage ends in writing.

These documents live in your repositories and are written for the team that will run the system after us.

  • Architecture dossier

Context, constraints, options and decisions — written before code and kept current.

  • ADR log

One record per architecture decision, with the options considered and the trade-off accepted.

  • Test plan & evidence

What will be tested and how, then the results for every release.

  • Operations runbook

Deployments, rotations, backups and incident playbooks, rehearsed before go-live.

  • Service reports

Monthly SLA performance, incidents, patches and improvements.

Engagement models

Three ways to work with us.

The method stays the same; the commercial model changes with how certain your scope is.

Fixed-scope project

For work you can define up front.

Fits when

Scope and acceptance criteria can be written down: a new build, a migration phase or an integration.

How it’s priced

Fixed price per phase, based on a written scope and estimate.

Team

Technical lead, delivery lead and engineers sized to the scope.

Cadence

Two-week iterations with a demo and a written report.

Dedicated team

For evolving scope and steady capacity.

Fits when

Scope will evolve and you want senior engineers working to your roadmap, month after month.

How it’s priced

Monthly per-seat rates. Scale up or down with a month’s notice.

Team

Named senior engineers, architects and leads, working under your direction.

Cadence

Your ceremonies and tools, plus a monthly report from us.

Support retainer

For live systems that need an SLA.

Fits when

The system is live and needs monitoring, patching and steady improvement.

How it’s priced

Monthly retainer by SLA tier, with enhancement hours included.

Team

A support team that knows the system, with named escalation contacts.

Cadence

Monthly service report and a review after every major incident.

You own — In every model: all code, documentation and intellectual property, from day one — in repositories you control.

Governance & support

A steady cadence, then an SLA if you want one.

Reporting is written down and predictable. After handover, support is a choice between three tiers, never a dependency.

  • Every iteration

    Demo and written report

Working software, test evidence and a plain summary of progress, risks and decisions.

  • Every week

    Sponsor check-in

Thirty minutes with your sponsor on priorities, blockers and anything that needs a decision.

  • Every phase

    Re-forecast

Estimate ranges updated against what we have learned, before the next phase is committed.

  • Always

    Shared logs

Decisions, risks and open questions in a log you can read at any time.

Managed support tiers

SLA tier

Essential

For internal systems

  • Business hours, Monday to Friday
  • Priority 1 response within 4 hours
  • Monthly security patching
  • 8 enhancement hours a month
  • Monthly service report

SLA tier

Business

For customer-facing systems

  • Extended hours, 7:00–21:00, six days
  • Priority 1 response within 1 hour
  • Weekly patching window
  • 24 enhancement hours a month
  • Quarterly service review

SLA tier

Critical

For systems that can’t stop

  • 24/7 on-call coverage
  • Priority 1 response within 15 minutes
  • Patching as advisories land
  • 40 enhancement hours a month
  • Quarterly architecture review
